Bacarrat Basics

Bacarrat is a card game that is played in casinos around the world. It is one of the most popular games in Macau and Singapore, and accounts for a large portion of casino revenue in Las Vegas.

It is a pure guessing game and there is no strategy or skill involved, making it perfect for beginners. It also offers some of the highest odds in the casino, so it is a great way to spend your gambling money.

The game is played using a variety of standard 52-card decks that have been shuffled together to form two hands. These are the player hand and the banker hand.

Once both hands are dealt, each player has a betting area where they can place their bets. The total points value of each hand is then added up and the side with the most points wins.

In the past, baccarat was played with the Player and Banker’s hands concealed from view until a player called for a card. However, modern games are played with the hands exposed.

After each of the players has made a bet, the dealer draws two cards from the deck. Then the banker can either stand or draw a third card.

If the banker draws a third card, all of the player hands are exposed. The banker then compares the banker’s hand with each of the player’s hands, paying out, collecting or returning the players’ bets according to the results.
