Up For Pups Seeks Voice Actors

Up For Pups is seeking amateur voice actors to help with the Don’t Kill Bill tour. You don’t need to be a pro, in fact, many of you parents who read to your kids are probably great candidates!

Part of this animal advocacy tour includes the retelling of stories sent in by fosters and people who have adopted dogs. We’re looking for diverse voices to record reading these stories, which we believe will make the event even more fun and meaningful for the audience. Want to give it a try?

How to apply: Send in a recording of yourself reading the Black Dog Syndrome by Cheryl Aarsvold, which is posted here.

Deadline: October 30th, 2010. We reserve the right to stop collecting recordings when we have chosen enough people to help with this project, so the sooner you send yours in, the better.

Compensation: If you are chosen, we will give you a story to record. For each story we give you and you successfully record for us, you can choose to either receive $10 or have us pay $10 to any of Happy Tails Books’ animal rescue partners listed here.

Number of Openings: There are between 20-40 stories available to be read.

Other Details: Recordings can be done with a microphone and a computer, you don’t need to use professional equipment, but please provide us with the best quality you can. We prefer you send the stories in as .mp3 or .wmv files. If hired, we will ask you to complete your recordings during the first two weeks of November. If you have further questions, please contact us.
